Shufelt Selected as 2013 GNAC Woman of the Year
June 14, 2013BOSTON, MA - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is pleased to announce that Danyelle Shufelt (Sutton, Vt./Lyndon Institute) has been chosen as the 2012-13 GNAC Woman of the Year. Shufelt, a four-year member of the Monks’ softball and basketball programs, graduated cum laude this past May as a Biology/Pre-Physician's Assistant major. -

May 11, 2013BABSON PARK, MA - Junior Jennifer Arcella (Hillsdale, N.J.) hit a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning and classmate Krysti Maronski (Woodbury Heights, N.J.) fired a five-hit shutout as second-seeded Rowan University staved off elimination with a 2-0 win over fifth-seeded Saint Joseph's College at the Babson Park Regional on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. -

May 10, 2013BABSON PARK, MA - First-year Melissa Mayhew (Hiram, Maine) hit a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning and junior Rae-Marie Copan (Newton, Mass.) tossed a one-hit shutout as fifth-seeded Saint Joseph's College defeated eighth-seeded Lesley University, 4-0, in the first elimination game of the Babson Park Regional on Friday afternoon at Alumni Field. -

Saint Joseph's (ME) Picked to Repeat in 2013 GNAC Softball Pre-season Coaches' Poll
February 19, 2013BOSTON, Mass. – The Saint Joseph’s College (ME) Softball team has been selected as the 2013 GNAC Softball Pre-Season Coaches’ Poll favorite, receiving seven first place votes and a total of 163 points. The Monks claimed their second consecutive GNAC Championship last April and will look to make it a three-peat later this spring. Coming in a close second was Emerson College with 157 points and five first place votes while Simmons College finished third with 139 points and the remaining first place nod. -
