PLAYER OF THE WEEK Ryan Grijalva, Emmanuel (Sr., G) Senior guard Ryan Grijalva scored the ball efficiently for the Saints this past week. Grijalva scored 16 of his 21 points in the second half of a nail-biting win over Regis on Wednesday (Jan. 24) while also bringing down six rebounds and dishing out five assists. He followed up on Saturday (Jan. 27) with a career-high 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting while grabbing seven boards and four assists to lead Emmanuel to a victory over Dean. The senior averaged 23.5 points on 56/40/100 shooting splits and collected 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Che Hanks, Lasell (Fr., G) First-year guard Che Hanks was the scoring spark for the Lasers this past week, leading them to a 2-0 week. Hanks went off for 28 points on Wednesday (Jan. 24) on 10-for-13 shooting in a close victory over Rivier and followed up with a 11-point performance in another win over Regis on Saturday (Jan. 27). The first-year guard averaged 19.5 points per game on 50/50/90 shooting splits while also grabbing 3.5 rebounds per game.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Justice Washington, Albertus Magnus – Put up two double-doubles this week for the Falcons as he collected 10 points and 11 rebounds vs Elms and then 26 points and 16 rebounds against Norwich. Averaged 18 points and 13.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week.

Owen Liss, Norwich – Put up 25 points, eight boards, four assists, three steals and two blocks in a victory over Colby-Sawyer and 20 points and six boards in a loss vs Albertus Magnus. Averaged 22.5 points and 7.5 rebounds on the week.

Tyree Mitchell, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) – Scored 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting and snagged five boards in a blowout victory over Mitchell.
