PLAYER OF THE WEEK Devin Owens, Rivier (Sr., G) Senior Devin Owens started the new year strong for the Raiders in a conference victory over New England College. Owens went for a season-high 34 points on 13-for-24 shooting, hitting 7 of 12 from downtown. The senior guard was also one rebound shy of a double-double as he snagged nine while also collecting three assists and one block.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Cameron Snowden, Emmanuel (Fr., F) First year Cameron Snowden played extremely well for the Saints against nationally-ranked (#5) Tufts in yesterday’s non-conference matchup. Snowden scored a career-high 18 points on 46.2 percent (6-for-13) from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. The first-year forward also collected three rebounds, four assists, and a steal in a very close setback (81-78).

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Jeyson Slade, Albertus Magnus – Scored 13 points on a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor while also flirting with a triple-double, collecting nine rebounds and 10 assists. He also added four steals on the defensive side in a blowout victory over Lasell.

Marcus Lewis, Lasell – Averaged 19.5 points on 51.7 percent shooting (15-for-29), 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Lasers.

Owen Liss, Norwich – Scored 21.5 points on 62.5 percent shooting (15-for-24) and 40.0 percent from three (4-for-10) in a 1-1 week for the Cadets.

Russell Rau, Regis – Averaged 21.0 points on 52.0 percent shooting (13-for-25) 40.0 percent from three (4-for-10), and 75.0 percent (12-for-16) from the charity stripe while also collecting 13.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Pride.

Wani Donato, Saint Joseph’s (Maine) – Put up 17.5 points on 58.3 percent (14-for-24) and 80.0 percent from three (4-for-5) while also averaging 6.0 boards and 2.5 blocks per game in a 2-0 week for the Monks.

Jalen Samuels, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) – Collected a double-double for the BlueJays (19 points, 16 rebounds) while adding four assists and a pair of steals in a 71-68 victory over Norwich.
