GNAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week Report #6

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Owen Liss, Norwich (Jr., F)

Junior Owen Liss led Norwich to a 72-54 victory over Vermont State Randolph last Tuesday (Dec. 12). Liss put up a double-double (26 points, 10 rebounds) on 10-for-21 shooting while also collecting two steals and a block on the defensive side of the ball for the Cadets.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Cameron Snowden, Emmanuel (Fr., F)

First year Cameron Snowden had his best game of the season for the Saints last Tuesday (Dec. 12). Snowden put up 13 points on 57.1 percent (4-for-7) from the floor while also grabbing five rebounds and one steal in a setback against Springfield.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Deivone Tanksley, Albertus Magnus – Averaged a double-double (13.0 points, 15.5 rebounds) on 52.4 percent from the floor (11-for-21) in a 1-1 week for the Falcons. Tanksley put up a double-double Monday (Dec. 11) with 10 points and 18 rebounds in a setback against Hunter. Then, on Saturday (Dec. 16), he got another double-double (16 points, 13 rebounds) and added two blocks in a win over Southern Maine.

Ray Carter Jr., Anna Maria – Put up 22 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block in a blowout victory over MCLA on Monday (Dec. 11).

Jaylyn Clardy, Mitchell – Scored 27 points on 10-for-22 shooting while collecting three rebounds, four assists, and four steals in a overtime setback against Purchase (N.Y.).

Junior Efosa, New England College – Put up a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds in a setback against Wentworth on Thursday (Dec. 14).

John Paul Frazier, Saint Joseph’s (Maine) – Scored 21 points on 7-for-14 shooting while grabbing six rebounds and collecting a steal and three blocks in a setback against Endicott.
