Women’s Basketball Blows Past Wildcats

PROVIDENCE, RI: Rivier women's basketball took down Johnson & Wales this afternoon in GNAC action.  

THE BASICS:

- Score: Rivier 74, JWU 52

- Records: Rivier (13-11, 10-6 GNAC), JWU (9-14, 6-10 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Other than the third quarter, the Raiders dominated the game behind Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH), Alexa Dufries (Leicester, MA), and Bea Stafford (Saunderstown, RI). The three teammates combined for 55 of the team's 74 points. Grumblatt led the way as she poured in 25 points and eight rebounds. Dufries was hot from behind the three-point line going 4-for-8 (50%) to tally 16 points. Stafford contributed 14 points of her own, along with nine rebounds.

Hannah Muchemore (Nashua, NH) continues to be a nuisance for opposing offenses. In this one, she racked up seven steals and ten rebounds. Offensively, Muchemore contributed five assists and seven points.   

- The Wildcats were led by Sarah Wisniewski, who finished with 16 points and seven boards. Peyton Oliver had a game-high 11 rebounds to go with her eight points.
