CHICOPEE, MA - The Elms College Basketball team fell to the Johnson & Wales Wildcats on Wednesday night in Picknelly Arena, 63-29 for the final.

How it Happened
Junior Rahmia Jonston (Trumbull, CT) led Elms with ten points. First year Kayla Jackson (Saugus, MA) recorded the most rebounds against the Wildcats, while sophomore Sarah Evangelista (West Haven, CT) chipped in with six points from the bench.
Johnson & Wales was paced by senior Jennell Martin (Springfield, MA) with fourteen points and junior Peyton Oliver (Ramsey, NJ) had eleven points and eighteen rebounds.
The Wildcats made six baskets and held Elms to only two made field goals in the first frame to lead 13-4 after 10 minutes of action.
The Blazers found some rhythm in the third quarter with three points from Evangelista and three from Soliyanna Asfaw. JWU, however scored fourteen points to help post a 14-10 advantage in the scoring column for a 42-19 lead heading into the fourth.
JWU increased its lead in the fourth quarter to come away with the 63-29 victory.
