Clark leads MCLA to ninth straight win as Trailblazers beat Norwich 3-1

North Adams, MA- MCLA junior Allison Clark had a season high 25 kills and collected 14 digs as the Trailblazers won their ninth straight contest tonight defeating the Norwich Cadets 3-1.  MCLA moves to 10-3 on the season while the Cadets fall to 2-6 overall.

The Trailblazers dropped the opening game 25-21 and were trailing in the second until Clark took over.  The outside hitter notched the final kill of game two, a 25-22 MCLA win and then paced the Trailblazers to 25-17 victories in the final two sets.

Clark hit at a high percentage and ended the night with her 25 kills on just 43 attacks for a .512 hitting percentage.  Rachel Mills chipped in with 10 kills to lead the offense.  Courtney Parent and Beatrice Lechler had solid evenings setting up Clark and Mills as the duo collected 23 and 20 assists respectively.

Chanielle Enomoto was stout on defense totaling a match best 25 digs.  Clark added her 14 while Angelica Perfido added 11.  MCLA did overcome 31 attack errors in the contest.

For Norwich, they were paced by Tara Lyons' 9 kills.  Katherine Crane notched 19 assists while three Cadets had double digit digs.  They were paced by Alex Ruediger's 16 digs and Emily Oliver had 15 digs while Kristen Brewer ended with 10.

MCLA is back in action on Saturday when they host MMA and Bay Path in a tri match at noon.
