Men's Soccer Fall in GNAC Match Against AMCATS

PAXTON, MA - The Elms College men's soccer team fell 3-2, after a tough battle against the Anna Maria AMCATS.

How it happened

The Elms offensive line was quick to test the Anna Maria goalkeeper, as junior Micheal Dima and Senior Musa Jiana both fired shots on goal within the firs 8 minutes of play. The AMCATS were able to crack the scoreboard first by forward Mathew Pearle at the 12:40 mark. Blazers' Jiana was quick to answer back with a goal just under a minute later to match the score 1-1, not even halfway through the first half of the contest. Despite having seven shots in the first half the Blazers were unable to draw up another goal, they would fall behind the AMCATS 3-1 leading into the second.

Blazers forward Jiana was able to get a head start in the second half sniping in a second goal for Elms slowly chissling away at the AMCATS lead. With the score 3-2, the Blazers kept trying to get the eaqualizing goal before the clock ran out. Despite the twealve shots in total the Blazers were unable to clinch the win and would fall the GNAC opponents Anna Maria 3-2.
