Men's Basketball Improves to 3-1 in the GNAC After Defeating Regis, 88-63
- WESTON, MASS: The Anna Maria Men's Basketball team took down Regis College this afternoon in conference, action to improve to 3-1 in the GNAC.
THE BASICS:

- Records: Regis (6-11, 2-2 GNAC), Anna Maria (6-11, 3-1 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Pride grabbed a quick lead over the AMCATS that they were able to extend to as many as five points. Regis held their lead until the 8:29 mark in the first half when Anna Maria closed the gap to tie it up 19-19. The home team would not see a lead for the rest of the contest.
- The 'CATS took the lead and pushed it to ten points before carrying a nine-point lead into the locker room.
- The AMCATS came out firing on all cylinders as they forced the game to be lopsided in their favor by 21 points with 9:17 left.
- Anna Maria's top three all had big games, Bobby Perette (Marshfield, MA) finished with a game high 25 points as he now sits a 969 career points with eight games remaining. Mike Rapoza (Charlton, MA) continued his NCAA division III most double-doubles with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Ralph Grasso (Marlborough, MA) finished with a season high 18 points.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The AMCATS shot 49.3% from the field and 52.2% from behind the arc.
- Regis finished shooting 38.2% from the field and 25.9% from 3-point territory.
- Marc Trinidad finished with a team high 17 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
- Perette had his 25 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds.
- Rapoza had 20 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
