2024 GNAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Award Winners Announced

WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its 2024 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field major award winners on Thursday morning.

The winners were recognized for their performance throughout the entire outdoor season, including the 2024 GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The honorees were selected by a vote conducted by the league’s five outdoor track & field head coaches.

Colby-Sawyer’s Ashley Keleher was recognized for her sprinting ability as she named the 2024 Track Athlete of the Year. Meanwhile, Saint Joseph’s (Maine) had two student-athletes earn major awards as Brooklyn Goff was selected as the Field Athlete of the Year and Audrey Bilodeau earned Rookie of the Year honors. The Regis staff was named the Women’s Coaching Staff of the Year and the Pride also won the Institutional Sportsmanship award.

In addition to this year’s award winners, the medalists in each event at the 2024 GNAC Championships were recognized as All-Conference performers and one student-athlete from each team was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

 

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Ashley Keleher, Colby-Sawyer

Keleher was the top sprinter in the GNAC this year, producing the best times in the conference in both the 200m and 400m dashes for Colby-Sawyer. Her best times this season in those events were a 24.97 in the 200 at the new England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships and a 57.01 in the 400 at the Trinity Invitational. Her 400 time also placed her in the top-50 on the NCAA Division III Outdoor Qualifying List, the highest ranking among GNAC student-athletes this year. Keleher was also the GNAC Champion in both events, running a 25.76 in the 200 and a 57.50 in the 400. She was the GNAC Track Athlete of the Week in the weeks ending April 7 and April 21.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Brooklyn Goff, Saint Joseph's (Maine)

Goff was an all-around performer for Saint Joseph’s (Maine) this season and especially excelled in field events. She produced the best marks in the conference in both the high jump and the long jump, recording marks of 1.57m (5’1.75”) and 5.44m (17’10.25”), respectively. Both marks placed her in the top-100 on the NCAA Division III Outdoor Qualifying List. Her league-best long jump mark was set at the GNAC Championships. She was also a GNAC Champion in the high jump, clearing 1.52m (4’11.75”) at the conference event. Goff also participated in the heptathlon during the year and had a GNAC-best score of 3872. She was the GNAC Field Athlete of the Week in the week ending April 14.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Audrey Bilodeau, Saint Joseph's (Maine)

Bilodeau was the top hurdler in the conference this year, posting league-best times in both the 100m and 400m hurdles. She was the GNAC Champion in both events, with respective times of 16.20 and 1:07.30. She was a New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship qualifier in both events and posted her best 400m hurdle time at the meet with a 1:06.40. Bilodeau was also a competitor on the Monks relay teams. She was the Track Athlete and Rookie of the Week in the week ending March 31.
