GNAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week Report #3

TRACK ATHLETE/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Aubrey Heise, Regis (Fr.)

First-year Aubrey Heise placed 12th in the 500m dash at the Suffolk Relays with a final time of 1:23.90, while also leading Regis to place eighth in the women's 1600 sprint medley with a final of 5:01.40.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Breya Whitman, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So.)

Sophomore Breya Whitman claimed 1st place in the Open High Jump with a clearance of 1.53m (5'0.25"), tying the Monks' school record and also competed in the Triple Jump, finishing 13th with a mark of 9.57m (31'4.75").


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Emily Greene, Emmanuel -  Netted a fifth place finish in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.45 meters at the Suffolk Relays.

Lulani Haslinger, Johnson & Wales - Finished 16th at the 800 meters at 2:30.40 and 12th in the mile with a time of 5:23.40. She moved up to 41st* in the country in the mile and 73rd in the country in the 800m.

Alexia Young, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Paced the Monks in the 800 meters, finishing 13th overall with a time of 2:41.76. She also kicked off the 4x400 Relay, which placed 6th with a time of 4:29.68.
