
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel emerged once again as the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Champion, claiming back-to-back trophies after a close meet at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center on Sunday (Feb. 16).
The Saints earned 151 points to take the title, edging out runner-up Johnson & Wales, who collected 145 points. Saint Joseph's (Maine) finished in third with 66 points, while Regis claimed fourth-place with 57 points followed by Colby-Sawyer (31), Simmons (25), and Lasell (18) in that order.
Emmanuel took home five event victories, three of them coming at the strength of Desiree Robinson as she claimed gold in all three field events she participated in. Robinson took the high jump at 1.51m, the long jump (5.04m), and the triple jump with 10.98m. On the track, the swift efforts of Caroline Carey in the 200m (26.78) and Aida Davis in the 400m (1:01.32) gave the Saints two more victories.
JWU set a strong precedent in their inaugural GNAC championship appearance as the Wildcats claimed seven total event victories on the day. Lulani Haslinger set the tone as she earned gold on the track in the 800m at 2:23.41, one mile event with a 5:34.85 mark, and 3000m at 11:33.42. JWU was just as impressive in field events as Riley Veits (2.80m) secured first in the Women's Pole Vault and Lena Nicholson secured a 12.68 mark in the Weight Throw competition. Johnson & Wales ended their night strong in the 4x400 relay and the Distance Medley Relay as Katelyn O'Brien, Fallon Preble, Catherine Migre, and Ayevah Marinez won the 4x400 in 4:15.41 and the group of Haslinger, Piper-Jean Ferguson, Kyla Leahy, and Alexandra Szelag took the DMR medal home with a 13:44.15 time.
The Monks had two individual champions of their own as Aubrey Bilodeau won the 60m hurdles in a 9.60 mark and Ellie Leech won the shot put, setting a 10.41 mark to earn medals for SJC.
Colby-Sawyer's Adriana Nadeau took a medal home for the Chargers, running across the finish line first in the 5k meter at 19:35.83.
Lasell's Kayoni Jordan won the 60m dash with a 8.22 mark to give the Lasers a gold medal.
All the individual champions, along with the other two medalists in each event (teams in relays) were named to the GNAC All-Conference Team as the major award winners will be voted on by the league's head coaches and announced at a later time to be determined.
