PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Emilie Lapointe, Simmons (So.)

Sophomore Emilie Lapointe started the season in action on Saturday afternoon (Aug. 31) against Roger Williams University. Despite the setback, Lapointe paired with first-year teammate Masha Shutts to earn the Sharks lone victory of the day, a 6-4 doubles victory.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Maddie Rossetti, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Fr.)

First-year Maddie Rossetti had a solid collegiate debut for the Blue Jays against Bridgewater State as she collected a 8-1 doubles victory and a 6-3, 6-4 straight set singles victory.

Masha Shutts, Simmons- Paired with teammate Emilie Lapointe to earn a doubles victory against Roger Williams.
