Simmons Takes Two to Repeat as GNAC Softball Champions

STANDISH, Maine – No. 3 North seed Simmons came into Saturday's (May 11) action needing two wins to capture the 2024 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Softball Championship. They got those wins to repeat as conference champions and earn the league's automatic qualifier into the 2024 NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The Sharks opened the day with a 12-4 victory over No. 1 North seed Saint Joseph's (Maine) to force a third and deciding game. They were able to pull out a 4-3 result in the late game for their second conference title in a row.
