
WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its 2024-25 Men’s Indoor Track & Field major award winners on Wednesday afternoon.
The winners were recognized for their performance throughout the entire indoor season, including the 2025 GNAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The honorees were selected by a vote conducted by the league’s five indoor track & field head coaches.
Cody Thompson was named Indoor Track Athlete of the Year while Pierre Paul Labossiere was selected as Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. Saint Joseph's (Maine) took home two major awards as first-year Isaac Keresey earned Rookie of the Year honors while their coaching staff won Men's Indoor Coaching Staff of the Year. Regis College was the recipient of this year's institutional sportsmanship award.
In addition to this year’s award winners, the medalists in each event at the 2025 GNAC Championships were recognized as All-Conference performers (Full List below) and one student-athlete from each team was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Cody Thompson, Colby-Sawyer Thompson was atop of a few performance lists this past indoor season as the Dunnellon, FL native was the top leader in the mile (4:23.21), 3k (8:45.95), 5k (15:29.76), and was second in the 800 meter (1:54.29). At the Indoor Track and Field Championships in February, he placed second in every distance event, the 800m (1:57.75), Mile (4:40.66), 3k (9:20.50), and 5k (16:34.82). He also anchored both relays, the 4x400m to a 5th place finish (3:53.28) and the Distance Medley Relay to a relay team title (11:24.11). |

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Pierre Paul Labossiere, Emmanuel Labossiere displayed his athletic ability throughout the season as the Port-au-Prince, Haiti native led the conference in the high jump at 1.90m, which he took home gold at the Indoor Track & Field Championships along with the Triple Jump at 13.43m but would end up topping that about two weeks later at the New England DIII Regionals, marking a 13.50 jump. He also placed fourth in the Long Jump at the GNAC Championships (6.17m), which gave him the conference lead in that event. Labossiere was named GNAC Field Athlete of the Week twice this indoor season. |

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Isaac Keresey, Saint Joseph's (Maine) Keresey had a versatile indoor season for the Monks, leading the conference in the heptathlon with 3,448 points, pole vault at 3.26m which was set at the GNAC Championships, and the 1000 meters (2:44.42). Keresey collected bronze three times as well in the Indoor Championships in the 800 (2:00.19), mile (4:41.21), and a third-place distance medley relay team (11:55.22). The Pittsfield, Maine native was named GNAC Rookie of the Week once this season. |
