SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Kristian Adlianitski, Norwich (So.)

Sophomore Kristian Adlianitski impressed among premier Div. I/II competition at the four-day Harold Anderson Invitational hosted by the University of Rhode Island between Thursday and Sunday (Nov. 21-Nov. 24). Between preliminaries and finals, he participated in at least seven different events. He swam legs in four different relays, including finishing eighth in the 200 medley relay (free) with a 1:35.93, ninth in the 200 free relay with a 1:27.55, 10th in the 400 medley relay (free) with a 3:34.82, and 10th in the 400 free relay with a 3:14.02. In individual events, Adlianitski had a historic performance in the 100 free, first breaking Norwich's school record by .1 seconds in the preliminaries with a 46.44, before shattering that time in the finals by finishing fourth overall on a 46.21 effort. He also finished 15th in the 50 free with a 21.73 preliminary time and a 21.61 final effort, in addition to a 16th-place position in the 200 free in preliminaries (1:44.64) followed by a 15th-place pole in finals (1:45.09).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Drew Bylow, Norwich (Fr.)

First-year Drew Bylow was one of the top Cadet performers at the four-day Harold Anderson Invitational, hosted by the University of Rhode Island. He participated in four relay events, finishing eighth in the 200 medley relay (back) on a 1:35.93, ninth in the 200 free relay on 1:27.55, 10th in the 400 medley relay (back) on 3:34.82, and 10th in the 400 free relay on 3:14.02. He also participated in three preliminary and final individual events. He took 24th overall in the 500 free preliminaries (4:58.62) and 23rd in the finals (4:59.34), while taking 11th in the 100 back preliminaries (54.42) and 13th in the finals (54.59). Lastly, he claimed 14th in the 200 back preliminaries (1:59.86) and 15th in the finals (1:59.69).
