WORCESTER, Mass. – Norwich claimed the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Swimming & Diving Championship, three-peating for the Cadets as they scored 472 points to claim the conference crown.
Sunday's final day of the three-day championship featured the final eight events of this year's title chase.
Once again, the Cadets took the top spot in all but one event starting with Kristian Adlianitski's title in the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.35. He also won the 1650 freestyle, clocking in at 16:59.76. Next, Will Thompson claimed victory in the 50 breaststroke, touching the wall at 26.75. The Cadets got another great performance in the 100 Backstroke from Drew Bylow, who finished in 53.14. Andrew Clark took the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:56.12. Martin Adlianitski claimed first in the 200 Yard IM (2:00.07) and the relay of K. Adlianitski, Thompson, Arty Abrams and Adrian Riendeau teamed up to win the 400 medley, clocking in at 3:37.53.
These performances led to 22 event wins across all three days, helping the Cadets secure the title.
Liam Austin collected the lone victory in the 3-meter diving competition for Regis as he scored a 297.40. Regis took this year's runner-up finishing with 186 points. They were followed closely by the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) who had 180.
In addition to the final events of this year's championship, the conference also honored its major award winners. Kristian Adlianitski took home Swimmer of the Year honors, while Liam Austin was named Diver of the Year. Drew Bylow was named this year's Rookie of the Year.
Meanwhile, Regis head coach Diana Matthews was voted the Coach of the Year for back-to-back years and USJ also won the Institutional Sportsmanship award.
The top three finishers in each event were also recognized as the 2025 All-Conference honorees. The full list is included below.
