Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Report - Week 7

Player of the Week
Andy Puopolo (Duxbury, Mass.), Sophomore, Attack, Lasell College
Puopolo led the Lasell attack with 15 points on 13 goals and two assists while helping Lasell to a 2-1 record on the week. He scored four goals in a GNAC victory over Anna Maria. The sophomore went on to score seven times while adding a pair of helpers in the Lasers victory over Emerson. The attack man also contributed with 6 groundballs and had an impressive 48.1 shot percentage for the week.

Goalie of the Week
Austin Lauzier (Bedford, N.H.), Sophomore, Goalie, Emmanuel College
Over two games, Lauzier posted an 8.00 goals against average to lift the Saints to a 1-1 week. The sophomore allowed just eight goals to the two-time defending champion Mount Ida Mustangs, the second lowest total a GNAC opponent has allowed to them all year. Lauzier also posted 13 saves against the Mustangs and then followed it up with an 11 save outing in a thrilling 9-8 victory over Becker College in GNAC action. On the week, Lauzier posted an impressive .600 save percentage and also collected six groundballs.

Rookie of the Week
Austin Watts (Westbrook, Maine), Freshman, Attack, St. Joseph's College (Maine).
Watts helped lead Saint Joseph's to a pair of conference wins with five goals, five assists and six ground balls in the two games last week. The freshman attackman netted three goals and three assists in a 16-8 win over Becker on Wednesday. The rookie also tallied a pair of markers with two helpers and five ground balls in a 9-3 victory over Daniel Webster on Saturday.
