Host New England College Finishes Day One with Eight Stroke Lead at 2024 GNAC Golf Championships

FULL RESULTS OF DAY ONE

CONCORD, N.H. - Host New England College (318) owns an eight stroke lead after Day One of the 2024 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Golf Championships at the Concord Country Club in Concord, N.H. with Saint Joseph's (Maine) trailing behind them with a total score of 326.

Emmanuel and Norwich are currently in a third-place tie with a score of 337 apiece and Albertus Magnus fills out the fifth spot at 339.

Dean (344), Elms (348), and Mitchell (357) rounded out the rest of the competitors in sixth, seventh, and eighth place.

New England College's Timothy Carlson (+6) leads the entire field of golfers with a score of 76, followed by a three-way tie of Saint Joseph's (Maine) Drew Mathieu, Mitchell's Shamus McLean, and NEC's Ryan Waring, who posted a score of 77 (+7). Emmanuel's Ian Reynolds and Norwich's Cooper Bertrand are both tied up at the fifth spot with a score of 78 (+8).

Rounding out the top 10 is the Monks' Braden Camire (seventh), Albertus Magnus' Chace Hale (eighth), NEC's Vesse-Wincent Lampen and Elms' Liam Fitzgibbons (both tied for ninth).

Brodie White and Adrian Paul both lead the way for Dean, tied at 18th with a stroke of 85.

Tomorrow's second round of the GNAC Golf Championship will determine which team will claim the conference crown and be named 2024 GNAC Golf Champion. The conference champion will earn the league's automatic qualifier into the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship in the spring.
