PLAYER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Silvano Ismail, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr., G) First-year Guard Silvano Ismail impressed in his collegiate debut for the Monks this past week, leading them to a 1-1 week at the Wheaton (MA) Invitational. Ismail started his college career strong for SJC on both ends of the floor as he notched a double-double with 27 points (11-for-22) and 12 rebounds to go with four steals and three blocks in a setback vs. Bridgewater State. He followed up the next day with 16 points (6-for-8), seven rebounds, and eight assists. For the weekend, Ismail averaged 21.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 6.0 apg, 2.0 stl/g, & 1.5 blk/g while shooting 60.7 percent from the field.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Christian Yeates, Dean - Scored 18 points in 22 minutes of action in a blowout victory over UMaine Augusta.

Izaiah Shaw-Glen, Johnson & Wales – Produced a 15 point, 11 rebound double-double with four steals and two blocks in a Wildcats season-opening victory over Salve Regina.

Jaylyn Clardy, Mitchell - Scored 25 points on 10-for-20 from the floor, added three assists and steals apiece to defeat Hartford in the Mariners' season opener.

Eddie Volkerts, Mitchell - Poured in 20 points (9-for-16), grabbed eight boards, and dished out four assists in the Mariners' victory.

Owen Liss, Norwich – Flirted with a double-double (18 points, nine rebounds) in a Cadets victory over New England College. Added three blocks as well defensively. 

Odarius Cade, Rivier – Scored 18 points and collected four rebounds in a Raiders victory over MCLA.
