Colby-Sawyer Three-Peats as GNAC Women’s Tennis Champion

WINCHESTER, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis celebrated its three peat victory winning the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship 5-3 over Regis.

  • The Chargers overcame a 2-1 deficit after doubles in the match as junior Elise Hogan, first year Maria Espinosa Lopez, senior Mary Thomsm and junior Mei Genest all picked up singles victories.

"I have been very fortunate to have coached many strong players and excellent teams at CSC." Said head coach Barry Schoonmaker, "Of all of the titles this is the sweetest. We were facing adversity, down 1-2 after doubles, but the team showed just how much heart they had by fighting back for a well deserved win!"
