JWU Falls to No. 15 TCNJ In NCAA Women’s Soccer Opener

EWING, N.J. – The Johnson & Wales women's soccer season came to a close with a 3-0 loss to No. 15 TCNJ Saturday afternoon in the First Round of the Division III Women's Soccer Championship at Lions Stadium.

Making their fourth-consecutive appearance in the tournament, the Wildcats finish their season 18-3-3, which is tied for the second-most wins in program history with the 2000 squad.

The Lions received two goals from Victoria D'Imperio – one in the first half at 17:22 and another at 57:28 in the second half – and another from Lindsay O'Keefe. D'Imperio leads TCNJ with 20 goals.

Junior Leah Bragaw played the first 45:00 in goal and recoded one save. Classmate Carly McCrumb entered the match in the second half and tallied two saves.

The Wildcats were outshot 13-3 on the day – including 8-2 in the second half. Senior Sammie Strong and freshman Lulani Haslinger were each credited with a shot on goal.
