PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Celia Melanson, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So., M)

Sophomore Celia Melanson led the way for Saint Joseph's (Maine) in a season-opening victory over Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday (Feb. 24). Melanson registered a game-high seven points for the Monks from three goals and four assists. She converted on 80 percent (4-for-5) of her shot attempts and collected two ground balls as well.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Joy Sayah, Lasell (So., GK)

Sophomore goalkeeper Joy Sayah picked up a victory over Curry on Saturday (Feb. 24). Sayah collected 13 saves at the net for the Lasers, having a save percentage of 65 percent.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Rose Finlayson, Colby-Sawyer (Fr., A)

First-year attack Rose Finlayson performed well in her collegiate debut for Colby-Sawyer. On Saturday against Nichols (Feb. 24), she scored twice on her two shot-attempts and collected three assists to earn five points on the day. Finlayson also collected two ground balls and a caused turnover.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Kaitlin Bedell, Lasell - Collected four goals and groundballs apiece while causing two turnovers as well in a win over Curry.

Teresa Kessner, Lasell - Collected four goals and one assist for five points while causing two turnovers in a win over Curry.

Hope Alto, Regis - Scored six goals on seven attempts (85.7 percent) and won seven draw controls for the Pride in a victory over Wentworth.

Maddie Desimio-Maloney, Simmons - Collected seven points from two goals and five assists in a win over Mount Holyoke. Added two ground balls and won six draw controls on the week.
