OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK David Smith, Rivier (Jr, OH - Clinton, Ohio) In a 1-2 week against tough competition, the junior outside hitter lit up the court offensively, averaging 3.83 kills per set on a .345 hitting percentage. Smith highlighted his week by averaging 4.40 kills (.372) and 1.60 digs per set in a 3-2 loss to Wells. He also had 14 kills (.207), three digs and two blocks against No. 1 Springfield, a 3-1 loss. |

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Kostea Andreenko, Regis (Mass.) (So., MB - Marstons Mills, Mass.) Andreenko led the Regis defense at the net in conference matches at Rivier and at Emerson, averaging 1.86 kills, 0.29 sces and 1.29 blocks per set. Against the Raiders, he collected three block assists to go along with four kills. Two nights later against the Lions, he finished with six total blocks to accompany nine kills and two service aces. It was his fourth match with five or more blocks so far this season. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Drew Potter, Wentworth (Fr., Towson, Md.) Potter averaged 3.67 kills per set while hitting .474 in the Leopard's GNAC win at Colby-Sawyer. He added a season-high 11 kills with four aces to keep WIT untouched in conference play. |
WEEK 5 HONOR ROLL
Orlando Plagata, Colby-Sawyer (Fr, OH - Los Angeles, Calif.) - Plagata led the Chargers with 2.75 kills per set in a 1-3 week. He also averaged 1.83 digs per set. His best match of the week came in a 3-0 win at Bard, registering 14 kills on .565 hitting to go with six digs and a pair of aces.
Erik English, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, OH - Simi Valley, Calif.) - English averaged 3.50 kills and 1.33 service aces per set while hitting .613 in a pair of three-set sweeps over Pine Manor.
Mark Piorkowski, Emerson (Senior, OH/RS - Montclair, N.J.) - Piorkowski totaled 24 kills in a four-set victory (6.00 per set, .362) over Regis on Friday night, helping Emerson to their first GNAC victory of 2019.
