SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Martin Adlianitski, Norwich (Sr.)

Senior Martin Adlianitski led the charge for Norwich in their swim meets this weekend. The senior touched the wall first four times in these two meets on both Saturday (Nov. 4) and Sunday (Nov. 5). First, Adlianitski took first place in the 200-yard freestyle at a time of 1:47.02 (pool record) and 100-yard IM at 55.98, while also swimming with his team in the 200-yard relay as they set a pool record (1:31.41). The next day, he finished first individually in the 100-yard butterfly (54.76) and helped Norwich swim to first in the 400-yard medley relay, setting a pool record time of 3:44.05.

DIVER OF THE WEEK

Aidan Grady, Norwich (Sr.)

Senior Aidan Grady found himself atop the diving event leaderboard three times this past weekend, helping the Cadets earn two meet victories. First, he took a pair of one meter diving wins at Maine Maritime on Saturday (Nov. 4) with scores of 142.12 and 224.32 (pool record). Then on Sunday (Nov. 5) at Husson, Grady dove his way into a first-place victory in the same event with a score of 247.55 and took third a few events later, posting a score of 141.85.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Andrew Clark, Norwich (Fr.)

First-year Andrew Clark had himself a great weekend for the Cadets. First, Clark broke pool records in both the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.11) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:10.19) on Saturday (Nov. 4), assisting in the Cadets’ team victory over Maine Maritime. Then, on Sunday (Nov. 5), he finished third in both the 1000-yard freestyle (10:48.05) and the 100-yard butterfly (57.41).


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Cody Werner, Regis – Captured three individual event victories for the Pride in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.70), 100-yard butterfly (1:00.65), and the 100-yard medley (1:00.65) on Friday (Nov. 3).

Joseph Guerin, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) – Captured two individual event victories for the Blue Jays in the 500-yard freestyle (5:53.05) and the 1000-yard freestyle (12:27.46) to help give USJ a pair of victories in a tri-meet against Albertus Magnus and Saint Joseph’s (Maine).
