GNAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week Report #5

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Landon Reyes, Lasell (Gr., M)

Graduate student midfielder Landon Reyes paced the Lasers offensively in an undefeated week. He produced six points against Plymouth State with four goals and two assists, with one of his goals being the game-winning goal. The graduate student followed up in GNAC action against Emmanuel with one goal and two assists for three points.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Sawyer Gagnon, Rivier (Sr., GK)

Senior goalkeeper Sawyer Gagnon picked up a victory in the cage for the Raiders in non-conference action this past week against Hartwick. Gagnon stopped 17 shots from going into the cage for Rivier while holding a save percentage of 73.9 percent in all 60 minutes of action.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Cooper Mehlhorn, Emmanuel (Fr., A/M)

First-year Cooper Mehlhorn had a solid week for the Saints, helping them to a 1-1 week in GNAC play. Mehlhorn began the week with a hat trick in a victory over Anna Maria. Then, he chipped in a goal and an assist for two points in a setback against Lasell.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Luciano Jordan Canino, Elms – Scored nine goals on the week, including seven in a conference victory over Mitchell. Collected five ground balls as well.

Greg Centeio, Johnson & Wales – Scored seven goals on the week, including five in a road victory over Anna Maria.

Henri Pfeifle, New England College – Tallied five goals, three assists, and two caused turnovers in a 1-1 week.

Nick Pestrichello, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) – Recorded six goals and three ground balls in a 1-1 week.
