GNAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week Report #2

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Diego Alvarez-Segee, Dean (Sr., F)

Senior forward Diego Alvarez-Segee was explosive on the offensive end for Dean this past week. On Wednesday (Feb. 28), he scored five goals and collected an assist for six points while causing four turnovers on the defensive end in a setback against Manhattanville. Then, on Saturday (March 2), he scored six goals and collected four assists to earn 10 points in a victory over Southern Maine. Alvarez-Segee collected 15 points on 11 goals and four assists for the Bulldogs.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Casey Dmochowski, Elms (Fr., GK)

First-year goalkeeper Casey Dmochowski earned himself a victory for the Blazers against SUNY Cobleskill. Dmochowski collected 14 saves for Elms while only giving up three goals, earning a save percentage of 82.4 percent.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Manny Alvarez-Segee, Dean (Fr., F)

First-year forward Manny Alvarez-Segee was another instrumental part to Dean’s offense this past week. Alvarez-Segee scored five goals and four assists to collect nine points for the Bulldogs in a setback versus Manhattanville. Then, he followed up with four goals and an assist in a Bulldog victory over Southern Maine. The first-year finished with nine goals and five assists to collect 14 points on the week.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Bailey Kirwin, Albertus Magnus – Scored a pair of hat tricks in both games against Keystone and St. Joseph’s (L.I.). Had six goals and three assists for nine points in a 1-1 week.

Luciano Jordan Canino, Elms – Scored four goals in a win over SUNY Cobleskill.

Patrick Mulhern, Lasell – Registered a hat trick and two assists in a victory over SUNY New Paltz.

Michael Ference, Rivier – Collected a hat trick and three assists for six points in a setback against Roger Williams.

Ryan Paltauf, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) – Scored a hat trick and collected two assists in a victory over Manhattanville.
