FIELD HOCKEY: Colby-Sawyer Cements Top Seed in GNAC Tourney

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WINTHROP, Mass.  For the first time since joining the GNAC as a full core member in 2018, the Colby-Sawyer field hockey program has claimed the GNAC regular-season title and top seed in the GNAC Tournament, which gets underway on Saturday, October 30.

The Chargers' (10-1) only loss in GNAC play came at the hands of four-time defending conference champion Saint Joseph's College of Maine, but the Monks went on to drop GNAC matchups on Oct. 20 and Oct. 23 against Simmons and JWU, respectively.

As a result, SJC dropped to the No. 3 seed and will take on sixth-seeded Lasell University in the GNAC Quarterfinals. The winner will face the victor of second-seeded JWU and seventh-seeded Rivier University in the semifinals.

For the top-seeded Chargers, CSC will welcome eighth-seeded Anna Maria College, with that winner set to take on the winner of #4 Simmons University and #5 Elms College.
