Player of the Year-Outfield- Todd Keneborus, Saint
Joseph’s, Sr., Hollis Center, ME
Todd Keneborus of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine has been awarded as the 2011 GNAC Player of the Year for his outstanding performance at the plate as well as in right field. Keneborus leads the conference in batting average (.423) and slugging percentage (.618), while ranking second in home runs (4), RBI (34), and hits (52). Additionally, he made an everlasting impression on the Monks’ when he was just the fifth player in school history to reach the 200-hit plateau this season. Defensively, Keneborus has accomplished a nearly impossible feat, a 1.000 fielding percentage, allowing not one ball to go uncaught out of 79 chances.
Pitcher of the Year- Alex Torres, Suffolk University,
Sr., Framingham, MA
Alex Torres of Suffolk University has been named the 2011 GNAC Pitcher of the Year. Torres was the league leader in wins (5), innings pitched (54) and strikeouts with 53. The senior hurler allowed opponents to merely a .239 batting average and has thrown complete games in all four of this conference starts. Torres threw back to back shutouts against top seeded St. Joseph’s College and Lasell College, which were key victories for the Rams. He finished the season with a 3.83 overall ERA and lessened it to 2.89 ERA in conference play. Torres was also awarded as ECAC Pitcher of the Week this season as well.
Pitcher- Marc Sommerhalter, Johnson & Wales, Jr.,
Emerson, NJ
Marc Sommerhalter of Johnson & Wales University has been named to the 2011 First team all-conference as a pitcher. Sommerhalter has been a driving force on the mound for the Wildcats this season, leading the conference with five wins and in appearance with 18. He had a team-best 2.45 ERA and has a near 2-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio on the season.
Catcher- Mark Annese, Suffolk, Sr., Winchester, MA
Mark Annese of Suffolk University, led the Rams behind the plate while hitting .349 on the season. The senior catcher, has proved to be a crucial force in Suffolk’s offense, having 13 multi-hit games and ranking 4th in the GNAC for doubles (12).
Infield- Joshua Sullivan, Lasell, Jr., Rockland, MA
Joshua Sullivan of Lasell College has been named to the GNAC First Team all-conference. Sullivan leads the Lasers in nearly every offensive category including batting average (.422), where he is ranked 4th overall in the GNAC. He has produced a remarkable 46 hits on the season, with 19 RBI and 29 runs scored. Additionally, Sullivan has been a powerful pitching and infield factor for the Lasers, fanning 43 batters, with a .963 fielding and started in all 31 games.
Infield- Robert Bengivengo, Albertus Magnus, Sr.,
Oxford, CT. 
Robert Bengivengo of Albertus Magnus has been selected to GNAC First team all-conference after anchoring the Falcons’ defense this season. Bengivengo great range at shortstop and on the mound, led him to a 2nd place ranking in the GNAC (93) for assists. Offensively, he finished the season with a .316 batting average, with 18 RBI and 17 runs scored.
Infield- Nick Alosco, Johnson & Wales, Sr., Mahopac,
NY
Nick Alosco of Johnson & Wales University has been selected to the GNAC First team all-conference as an infielder for 2011. The senior second baseman is one of the top offensive threats in the conference, as he leads the GNAC in runs scored (36) and total bases (85), second in doubles (17) and fourth in RBI (30). Alsoco finish the season with a .322 batting average and .938 fielding percentage for the Wildcats.
Infield- Mike Pratt, Saint Joseph’s, So.,
Dartmouth, MA
Mike Pratt of Saint Joseph’s College has been named to the GNAC First Team all-conference for the 2011 season as an infielder. Pratt not only leads the conference in countless offensive categories, but ranked 4th in the Nation for doubles and 6th in doubles per game. The sophomore first baseman produced an incredible .414 overall batting average and .450 in conference average, with a .612 slugging percentage, and 30 RBI.
Outfield- Zach Boyes, Johnson & Wales, So., West
Warwick, RI
Johnson & Wales sophomore right-fielder, Zach Boyes, has been selected to the 2011 GNAC First team all-conference. Boyes topped the GNAC with over a 50 hit season, concluding with 55 hits on the year, led the Wildcats with a .407 batting average and in stolen bases with 15 out of 16 attempts. He collected a .526 slugging percentage and scored 34 runs this season.
Outfield- Conor Cavanagh, Lasell, Sr., Quincy, MA
Conor Cavanagh of Lasell College has been named as an outfielder to the 2011 First team all-conference. Cavanagh led the Lasers in nearly every category including hits (41), RBI (43), slugging percentage (.619), doubles (16), home runs (3), and total bases (70). He topped the conference in RBI and ranked 6th in NCAA D.III in RBI per game (1.63). The senior outfielder had 12 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI games, with a school record performance coming against Bethel where he went 4-for-5 with nine RBI, three runs, two doubles, one triple and one home run.
Designated Hitter- Pete Rosa, Johnson & Wales, So.,
Ambler, PA
Johnson & Wales’ Pete Rosa earned the DH spot on the 2011 all-conference team. Rosa earned a .350 batting average on the season, while producing 26 RBI, which ranked his fifth in the GNAC. Rosa blasted four home runs this season, earning him a second place ranking in the GNAC for HRs.
Utility- Chris Campbell, Saint Joseph’s, Sr.,
Rochester, NH
Chris Campbell of Saint Joseph’s of Maine has been named to the 2011 First team all-conference as a utility player after hitting an unbelievable .524 in conference. Campbell hit .427 overall, which ranked him second in the GNAC and fifth in OBP. He not only has produced in clutch situations for the Monks’ offensively, but defensively as well; playing second, third and even seeing time in the designated hitter spot.
Rookie of the Year- Jake Cintolo, Suffolk University,
Fr., Wrentham, MA
Jake Cintolo of Suffolk University has been named the GNAC Rookie of the Year and also collected Second Team all-conference honors. Cintolo was the most consistant hitter for the Rams this season, by leading the team in batting average (.437), hits (55), and on base percentage (.533).
Coach of the Year- John LaRose, Johnson & Wales
University
The Wildcats head coach John LaRose was awarded Coach of the Year honors after leading the team to a 21 wins overall with an 11-3 record in the GNAC and appearance in the final four of the conference championship.
