Tennis Downed at Mitchell, 6-3

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Saint Joseph College tennis dropped a 6-3 decision Sunday at Mitchell College in a non-conference match. 

Saint Joseph is 4-7 overall this season. It was the first won of the season for Mitchell, which had lost its first 12 matches.

Alicia Leinhop (Centereach, N.Y.) earned a win at No. 1 singles for the Blue Jays and Kameshia Cooper picked up a point at No. 4. Cooper and shawanna Jefferson also got a win for the Blue Jays at No. 2 doubles.

Saint Joseph hosts Emerson in a GNAC match Monday Oct. 11 at 3:30 p.m.
