MLax: Lasers Dominate Pride

Weston, MA - The Lasell Lasers Men's Lacrosse team won their third straight game, and seventh in eight games on Saturday, defeating Regis 17-2. The Lasers are now 8-5 on the season, and 6-1 in GNAC play. The Pride are now 3-8 and 0-8.

The Lasers dominated play in the first half, scoring five goals in each period. It was the Jack Tauson and Ryan Stone show early on, as Tauson opened the scoring three minutes into the game. After a pair of Stone goals, Tauson added his second to make it 4-0. Stone then completed his hat trick with less than a minute left in the quarter to put the Lasers up 5-0. A minute into the second quarter, Tauson picked up where he left off, completing a hat trick of his own to make it 6-0. Four other different Lasers would score in the second, as Patrick Mulhern, Casey Hart, Will McCarthy, and Adam Haytayan each found the back of the net. Neither team would score in the final eight minutes of the half, and the Lasers took a 10-0 lead into halftime.

The scoreless streak extended to 16 minutes, as neither team scored in the third before Haytayan found the back of the net again. The Lasers then went up 12-0 after another Casey Hart goal. The Pride would finally get on the board with a goal in the final minute of the period. The fourth quarter was another dominating quarter for the Lasers, as Landon Reyes, Anthony DeRosa, Connor Flynn, and Kieran Oliver scored, with Oliver scoring twice.

Jack Tauson and Ryan Stone led the Lasers with three goals each. Tauson also had three assists. Eight other players scored for the Lasers. Matthew Carbone led the team with nine groundballs, and went 10-11 in the faceoff circle. Ethan Dallas led the team with three caused turnovers.

Goalie Liam Hill made just his second career start, and picked up his first career win, making seven saves.
