BOSTON, Mass. -- The Simmons
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) reached their fundraising
goal of $1,000 dollars yesterday evening at the Sharks Great
Northeast Athletic Conference soccer game versus the Norwich
University Cadets.
Throughout the month of October, Simmons SAAC has been
involved in the 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk held
in Boston on October 14th and sponsored two Think Pink games for
the Volleyball and Soccer teams to raise money and awareness for
the American Cancer Society.
“Fundraising and community service are core values to
Simmons SAAC and we've always been committed to giving back and
showing support to good causes,” said SAAC junior volleyball
player, Nafeesa Connolly (Natick, Mass.).
Simmons SAAC is still collecting donations through their
fundraising page here through
the end of the month so there is still time to get involved in the
fight against breast cancer.
