CLASS OF 2023

Gomez-Hixson is the third former student-athlete from USJ to be inducted into the GNAC Hall of Fame. USJ's Gomez-Hixson was the GNAC Women's Cross Country Championship individual winner in both 2015 and 2016, completing the 5K run with times of 19:58.2 and 19:53.8, respectively. That feat made her just the third-ever student athlete to claim two or more GNAC Women's Cross Country titles, also capturing GNAC Runner of the Year honors both years. Gomez-Hixson ran in the New England Region Cross Country Championships, finishing in the top-IOO out of 400 runners twice, placing 92nd in 2015 and 90th in 2016. She also had a fifth-place finish in 2014 and a 15th-place finish in 2013 as a first-year. She is now an assistant professor in the USJ School of Interdisciplinary Health & Science, as she is dedicated to providing sports nutrition services to athletes that would otherwise not have access to these services through her work with the IJSJ Athlete Nutrition Advising Program.
