NASHUA, N.H. – A well designed and executed play led sophomore Pharaoh Davis (Plainville, Mass.) tie the game at 81-81 however Emmanuel had the final possession and made it count as the Rivier University Men's Basketball team lost a tough conference game this afternoon at the buzzer on Senior Day. The loss ends the Raiders season with an overall record of 4-20 and 1-10 in the GNAC while the Saints improve to 19-6 on the year and a 7-4 league record.

With six-seconds left, a timeout was called by Emmanuel, which allowed senior Emmett Riddick (Middletown, Conn.) just enough time to hit a fade-a-way jumper as time expired to give the Saints a walk-off victory.

In total, four different student-athletes for Rivier reached double-figures in scoring including seniors Issaiah Chappell (Sunapee, N.H.) and Josh L'Heureux (Dracut, Mass.), who played in their final collegiate contest. Chappell ended his three-year Raider career with 11 points on the afternoon while L'Heureux closes out his four-year run with 10 points, while knocking down three key three-point attempts. Davis was the team leader as he finished his first-season with the Raiders shooting 8-for-21 to total 18 points and handing out six assists. Freshman Kevin Redler (Ellington, Conn.) added 10 points and classmate Nesta Roberts (Manchester, Conn.) contributed with seven points and five rebounds. Senior Josh O'Loughlin (Milford, N.H.) ended his four-year career with three points and two rebounds.

Riddick's game-winner overshadowed a piece of Emmanuel Men's Basketball history as junior Marcus Fox (Danbury, Conn.) recorded his 1,000th career point and in doing so, became just the 10th Saint in program history to do so. Fox finished the game with a game-high 21 points and Riddick added 16 points on the night. Junior Zachary Crisafulli (Easthampton, Mass.) was 6-for-9 from the floor to finish with 15 points while classmate Jack Moulder (Newtown, Conn.) rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points in the win.

Emmanuel has earned the overall #3 seed in the 2020 GNAC Men's Basketball Tournament and will host sixth-seeded Lasell University on Tuesday night. Game time is slated for 5:30pm.
