Women's Tennis beaten at Anna Maria 7-2
Paxton, MA- The MCLA Women's Tennis team dropped their eighth straight match this afternoon, dropping a non conference match to Anna Maria 7-2. The Trailblazers earned a point out of number three doubles and second singles.
MCLA is now 1-10 overall.
The duo of Ama Adwetewa-Badu and Shelby Gauthier earned a point out of number three doubles, winning their match 8-5 in the pro style set. Stephanie Giardina earned the other point out of number two singles winning an exciting match in a tiebreaking third set.
Giardina dropped the first set 7-5 before rallying to win the second 6-4 setting up the tiebreaker. Giardina would best Nicole Goudreau 10-8 in the tiebreaker to earn the point.
Kylie Dumas was the only other Trailblazer to reach a third set, however she ultimately fell 10-8 in the tiebreaker.
The Trailblazers are off all week and will close the regular season with a NAC weekend doubleheader. MCLA will travel to Johnson State on Saturday before hosting Colby Sawyer on Sunday.
