Volleyball Blows Past Skidmore

SPRINGFIELD, MA:  The Rivier women's volleyball team took all three sets against non-conference opponent Skidmore College this morning.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Rivier 3, Skidmore 0: Set scores (25-7, 25-9, 25-22)

- Records: Rivier (1-1), Skidmore (0-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders spread the wealth this morning with seven student-athletes recording a kill. Topping the board was Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, CT) and Cadia Greene (N. Kingstown, RI). Racevicius finished with 11 kills along with a match high ten digs. Greene racked up nine kills with four digs. Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, NY) shelled out 29 assists, four digs, and three kills.

- Jo Blanco was the go-to attacker for Skidmore this morning. She finished the match with a team high eight kills and second with five digs. Noa Berger racked up 11 assists in this one while also defending the best with six digs.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Kills: Rivier 37, Skidmore 15

-  Kill %: Rivier .367, Skidmore -.104

-  Assists: Rivier 34, Skidmore 14
