Field Hockey Comes up Short at JWU
Providence, RI – The Elms College women's field hockey team traveled
to face Johnson and Wales in GNAC conference play.
THE BASICS:

RECORDS: Elms (4-5, 3-3 GNAC) | Johnson and Wales (7-3, 3-1 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Blazers got off to a quick start, registering 2 shots with one of
them being a shot on goal by #17 Carissa Ramirez in the scoreless
first quarter. At the half Johnson and Wales had a 2 point lead over
the Blazers.
In the third quarter Nora Newman #99 shut out the Wildcats by making 4
saves and Cierra Brundage #21 making a defensive save.
In the fourth quarter the Blazers tried to hold off the Wildcats with
Nora Newman #99 making 6 more saves.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Elizabeth Collins #3, Carissa Ramirez #17 all saw shots
Nora Newman #99 had 11 saves
