Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Report – Week 6
Co-Players of the Week
Alex Hadlock (Framinham, Mass.), Sophomore,
1st Singles/1st Doubles, Emmanuel
College
Hadlock led the Saints to a 3-0 week, playing in the Saints No. 1
spot for both singles and doubles. The sophomore went undefeated in
Emmanuel's top singles position, winning all three of her matches
in straight sets and also went 2-0 in No. 1 doubles action on the
week to post an overall mark of 5-0. Hadlock's five wins helped the
Saints clinch the #3 spot for the GNAC Tourney.
Savannah Mosser (Malibu, Calif.), Junior, 1st
Singles/1st Doubles, Emerson College
Mosser posted another flawless week last week, collecting
doubles wins against Anna Maria and Endicott as well as two singles
wins. The junior is now 11-0 in doubles on the year and 10-0 in
singles with a singles win streak of 18 dating back to September
28, 2011.
Rookie of the Week
Amanda Godard (Merrimack, N.H.), Freshman,
6th Singles/3rd Doubles, Johnson & Wales
University
Godard enjoyed a strong week by posting a combined record
of 3-0 with a pair of doubles win to go along with a singles
victory. She notched a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 6 singles
spot for the Wildcats in the 8-1 win against Mount Ida. In other
GNAC action, the rookie posted an 8-0 win against Anna Maria in No.
3 doubles.
