Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Report - Week 5

Player of the Week
Lindsey Garvey (Warwick, R.I.) Junior, Forward, Emmanuel College
Garvey scored five goals and dished out an assist this week, leading the Saints to a 2-0 week in GNAC play. The junior netted two goals in Emmanuel's 3-0 win over JWU and then recorded a hat-trick in the opening 25 minutes of the Saints' 6-0 win over Emerson. Five of her eight shots on goal resulted in goals, with two of them as game-winners.

Rookie of the Week
Acacia Nelson (Bridgeport, Conn.), Freshman, Forward, Albertus Magnus College
Nelson tallied two game winning goals on the week as they were in back-to-back league contests. The rookie netted the game winner in OT in a 2-1 win at Johnson & Wales University after scoring the game winner at Saint Joseph's of Maine. She now has five goals on the year.

Goalkeeper of the Week
Jessica D’Ottavio (Pawling, N.Y.), Senior, Goalkeeper, Emmanuel College
D’Ottavio was flawless on the week, posting two shutout victories to help the Saints remain in the hunt for a first-round home game in the GNAC playoffs. The senior recorded four saves in a 3-0 victory over Johnson & Wales and then made two stops in Emmanuel’s 6-0 victory over Emerson.
