Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Report - Week 5

Player of the Week
Mike Skelton (North Conway, N.H.), Junior, Forward, Lasell College
Skelton scored three goals, including two game winning goals, while helping the Lasers go 2-0 on the week and remain unbeaten in the GNAC at 6-0. He netted a pair of tallies in the opening 20 minutes of the Lasers 5-1 victory at Emerson, and then scored the opening goal of his side's 2-0 road win at Anna Maria. 

Rookie of the Week
Drew Lightfoot (Philadelphia, Pa.), Freshman, Forward, Johnson & Wales University
Lightfoot scored the game-winner in the Wildcats 1-0 victory against Becker on Thursday evening. The goal was his fourth of the season with three of them being of the game-winning variety.

Goalkeeper of the Week
Donato Piroscafo (Naugatuck, Conn.), Junior, Goalkeeper, Albertus Magnus College
Piroscafo earned two shutouts on the week with 1-0 wins over both Western Connecticut State University and Johnson & Wales University. He made 11 stops in 180 minutes of work. Against JWU in league action, the senior recorded seven saves to keep the Falcons unbeaten in league action.
