JWU To Host Special Olympic Awareness Event on April 24
PROVIDENCE, R.I. â In partnership with the Special Olympics of Rhode Island, the Johnson & Wales University Athletic Department will host an on-campus event on April 24th to promote and raise awareness of the efforts and accomplishments of the Rhode Island Special Olympics athletes.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – In partnership with the Special Olympics of Rhode Island, the Johnson & Wales University Athletic Department will host an on-campus event on April 24th to promote and raise awareness of the efforts and accomplishments of the Rhode Island Special Olympics athletes.
Former JWU student-athlete Karlie Haack is currently interning at both the Special Olympics of Rhode Island and Johnson & Wales University. Haack, a former Women’s Volleyball player for the Wildcats, believes that with continued support from collegiate athletic departments, the Special Olympics will continue to grow.
