Executive of the Year – Brian Curtin,
Saint Joseph’s College (ME)
As the Monks Athletic Director, Curtin oversees the 17 varsity and
two clubs sports up in Standish, Maine. During the past year, the
Monks captured GNAC championships in Men’s Soccer, Baseball
and Softball while seeing 100% of participating sports qualify for
GNAC tournament play under Curtin’s leadership.
Sports Information Director of the Year –
Kristen DeCarli, Albertus Magnus College
In just her first year at Albertus, the Flacons SID made
the transition from UConn look seamless as she took over last
summer and jumped right into the action. DeCarli helped publicize
one of the most memorable Men’s Basketball seasons in GNAC
history in which the Falcons went a perfect 18-0 in conference
play.
Athletic Trainer of the
Year – Chris Troyanos, Lasell College
A 25-year veteran of the field, Troyanos oversees the
Lasers Athletic Training staff which provides the highest quality

coordinator for the Boston Marathon for the past 25 years.
“Brian, Kristen and Chris are three outstanding candidates for their respective awards,” said GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh. “They come highly recommended by their peers and embody the GNAC philosophy of Community, Integrity and Sportsmanship.”
Commissioner Walsh will present the 2011-12 GNAC administrative award recipients with their plaques at the 2012 Professional Development Seminar on August 8.
