BOSTON, Mass. – The Great Northeast
Athletic Conference will have several programs competing in the
National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Eastern College
Athletic Conference (ECAC) championships, which begin later this
week.
Men’s Soccer
The Albertus Magnus College men’s soccer program (15-3-3)
earned the GNAC’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA tournament
and will face off against No. 15 Swarthmore College (14-2-2) on
Saturday, Nov. 10 at 5:00 PM in Swarthmore, Pa.
Norwich University (11-5), who played Albertus to a 0-0 draw in
the GNAC finals before falling in PK’s, 6-5, earned a bid to
the ECAC New England Men’s Soccer tournament as the No. 4
seed and will host the No.5 seed, Husson College (15-5), at
1:30 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
Also earning an ECAC tourney bid were the Lasell College Lasers
(15-4). Lasell was tabbed the No. 3 seed in the tourney and will
head to Beverley, Mass. to face off against the No. 6 seed,
Endicott College (9-7), at 6:00 PM.
Women’s Soccer
The Lasell College women’s soccer team (14-4-1) collected
their third consecutive GNAC title to earn the automatic qualifier
to the NCAA tournament and will face off against No. 10 Amherst
College (13-1-2) in Amherst, Mass. at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Nov.
10.
The University of Saint Joseph (CT) (14-2-2) earned the No. 1 seed
in the ECAC New England Women’s Soccer tournament and will
play host to No. 8 Regis College (11-2-3) at 12:00 PM on Wednesday,
Nov. 7.
After playing their way to the GNAC Championship game, Simmons
College (11-7-1) earned the No. 4 seed in the ECAC tourney and will
host No. 5, Colby Sawyer College (14-3-4) at 7:00 PM on Wednesday,
Nov. 7.
Emmanuel College (13-6-1) earned the No. 6 seed in the ECAC
tournament and will travel to Beverley, Mass. to take on the No. 3
seed, Endicott College (11-4-4) at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, Nov.

Rounding out the ECAC tourney field, Albertus Magnus College
(11-6-2) qualified as the No. 7 seed and will hit the road to take
on Keene State College (12-9-1) at 6:00 PM in Keene, N.H. on
Wednesday, Nov. 7.
Women’s Volleyball
The Emerson College women’s volleyball team (19-10)
collected the GNAC’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA
tournament and will face off against Bowdoin College (26-4) on
Friday, November 9 in New London, Conn. on the Coast Guard Academy
campus.
Albertus Magnus College (12-12) earned their first-ever ECAC
tournament bid as the No. 8 seed and will travel to Waltham, Mass.
to take on the No. 1 seed, Brandeis University (19-13) at 7:30 PM
on Wednesday, November 7.
