MEN'S ATHLETE / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK GianCarlos Banrey, Regis (Mass.) (Fr., Roslindale, Mass.) Banrey led Regis to its ninth straight top-10 finish at the NEISDA Championships. He posted three top-five finishes in individual events: 3rd in the 100 butterfly with a season-best 51.76 seconds, 5th in the 50 freestyle in a season-best 21.81 seconds, and 2nd in the 50 butterfly in 23.24 seconds. He also led off the 200 freestyle relay with a 50 free split of 21.84 seconds, posted a 100 fly split of 51.56 seconds in the 400 medley relay and a 50 fly split of 22.91 seconds in the 200 medley relay, and led off the 400 freestyle relay with a 100 free split of 48.59 seconds. In total, he scored 47 points as an individual and played a major role in 102 more points as part of four scoring relays.

WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Kerry Fleming, Simmons (Sr., Northampton, Mass.) The senior was the only Simmons swimmer to medal in seven events at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Championship from February 21-24 in Cambridge, Mass. The swimmer earned five gold medals, including a pair of individual efforts. Fleming won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:08.26 and placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a personal-record time of 1:55.79. The four-year standout just missed her third gold when she finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a mark of 53.07. Fleming helped the Sharks shatter the NEISDA Championship and Open record as well as the school standard in the 800-yard freestyle relay by more than five seconds with a time of 7:40.31. The relay win was the first of three freestyle relay victories that Fleming was a part of. She also helped Simmons win the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay with respective times of 1:38.12 and 3:33.40. Fleming also earned a bronze medal, helping the Sharks place third in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:05.15.

WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Kyleigh Boatwright, Regis (Mass.) (Fr., Roseville, Calif.) Boatwright qualified for two A-finals out of three individual events at the NEISDA Championships, the only Pride swimmer to qualify in multiple individual A-finals. She finished fifth in the 100 individual medley with times of 1:04.01 in the preliminaries and 1:04.40 in the finals and seventh in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.60. She also finished 15th in the 100 freestyle with times of 55.97 seconds in the prelims and 56.22 seconds in the finals. Boatwright collected 60 points in the three individual events, plus she was on the scoring 800 freestyle relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay..

WEEK 11 HONOR ROLL
Sarah Leonard, Regis (Mass.) (Jr., Brockton, Mass.) Leonard played a major role in Regis' second-best team performance ever at the NEISDA Championships. Individually, she tied for the Pride's highest finish with a second-place performance in the 50 backstroke at 27.96 seconds. She also finished 10th in the 100 backstroke in 1:02.01 and 11th in the 50 freestyle in 25.40 seconds, collecting a total of 61 points by herself. She also anchored the 200 freestyle relay, led off the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay, and swam the second leg in the 400 freestyle relay, helping the Pride finish in the top eight in all four relays.
Savana Silva, Simmons (Fr., Groveland, Mass.) The first year scored in multiple events for the Sharks at the 2019 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Championship from February 21-24 in Cambridge, Mass. The rookie placed fifth in the consolation final and 13th overall with a personal-record time of 1:03.76 and finished sixth in the 50-yard butterfly consolation final and 14th overall with a mark of 28.32.
