Men’s Volleyball Handles Elms, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Elms, 3-0, by scores of 25-15, 25-14, and 25-17 on Wednesday night in non-conference action at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Thirteen student-athletes registered at least one kill in the victory.

Freshmen Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) and Corey Klass Jr. (Beverly, Mass.) led the way for the Gulls with six kills apiece (match-high/career-high).

Defensively, Endicott posted a season-high 17 block assists, highlighted by a match-high four clamps from Brady Mullens (Aurora, Colo.) and Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.).

The Gulls also used three setters in the contest as the trio of Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.), Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.), and Aidan Napoli (Henderson, Nev.) registered 13, 14, and 15 assists in the first, second, and third frames, respectively.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott hit a season-best .393 despite seeing 15 student-athletes notch at least one attempt.
  • Tonight's match only featured two ties (0-2-0) and one lead change (0-1-0).
  • All four of Brian Wightman's (Las Vegas, Nev.) team-high four digs (tied w/ 3 others) correlated in kills.
  • The Gulls are 38-5 all-time against Elms.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (2-5) visits No. 5 Springfield this Saturday at 2 PM. Elms (2-12) is scheduled to play Colby-Sawyer tomorrow on the road at 7 PM.
