FRANKLIN, Mass. – October 26, 2021 – The Dean College women's volleyball team dropped its final home match of the season to Fisher, 3-0, in non-conference action at inside Pieri Gymnasium Tuesday evening. The Falcons won by scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-7.
Dean goes to 4-19 and will wrap up the regular season with a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match at Rivier with Lasell on Saturday. Fisher improves to 13-9 and will at Mass. Maritime tomorrow night.

Emily Ball (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and first-year
Janai Price (Providence, R.I.) each had four kills for Dean. Price added three blocks, while Albury chipped in with two.
Amanda Payne (Millis, Mass.) led the Bulldogs with 11 digs.
Fisher was paced by Macy Barnes (Duart, Calif.). She finished with 13 kills on .333 hitting to go with a match best 15 digs. Paola Velazquez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) tallied 30 assists, three aces and nine digs, while Edsyl Irrizary (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) had an impressive seven aces.
The first set was back and forth, and Dean held a 10-8 lead after an
Emily Larouche (Agawam, Mass.) kill forcing a Fisher timeout. The Falcons then exploded with an 11-3 run to take control of the set. The visitors took the first set after a Dean attack error, 25-18. Barnes had five kills, while Irrizary posted four aces in the set.
Fisher had the offense clicking in the second set en route to 15 kills and the 25-17 win. Barnes and Aya Al-Juraishi (Walnut, Calif.) each had five kills in the set for the Falcons. Ball had a pair of kills for the Bulldogs.
The Falcons recorded nine aces in the 25-7 third set win to earn the match sweep.
