NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 20, 2018 – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team defeated Anna Maria, 12-2, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) regular season finale at Kelsey Field.
Prior to the game, Colby-Sawyer honored its eight seniors
Oona Bond (Southborough, Mass.),
Maddie Chamard (Portsmouth, R.I.),
Natalie Ellard (Rockland, Mass.),
Hannah Fields (Shapleigh, Maine),
Morgan Keene (Barre, Vt.),
Amanda Martin (Amesbury, Mass.),
Shari Rainville (Highgate Center, Vt.) and
Abbie Sansoucy (Douglas, Mass.).
Colby-Sawyer improves to 7-7 overall and finish the GNAC slate at 7-5 to secure a postseason appearance in next week's conference tournament. The Chargers will host non-conference opponent Castleton on Tuesday for a regular season finale. Anna Maria ends its season at 0-16 overall and 0-12 in the conference.
Leading the Chargers, was
Hannah Fields who scored three goals in the first couple of minutes of action.
Amanda Martin added two goals and an assist. Colby-Sawyer received single goals from

Natalie Ellard,
Leah Dupuis (Concord, N.H.) and
Sam Mitchell (Chester, N.H.).
First-year Keannah Dunsmore (Georgia, Vt.) notched her first collegiate goal and added a second to account for the two Anna Maria goals.
Bond had three saves and one goal allowed in 71 minutes, while
Alexis LaPointe (Abington, Mass.) allowed one goal and made one save in 19 minutes. Rachel Matloff (Grafton, Mass.) made six stops for Anna Maria.
