NEW YORK, N.Y. - December 29, 2018 - Trailing 26-23 at the half, the Colby-Sawyer women's basketball team outscored Baruch 47-20 in the second half to defeat the Bearcats 70-46 on Saturday afternoon.
The Chargers improve to 6-4 and will return to New London for a Wednesday game at 7 p.m. against Salem State. Baruch falls to 1-6.
Colby-Sawyer's
Lexie Hamilton (Sunapee, N.H.) led all players with 27 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. She was 7-of-12 from the floor and made 9-of-11 from the free throw line.
Tianna Sugars (Oxford, Maine) recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Joslin Wainwright (Plainfield, N.H.) was the third Charger to reach double figures with 10 points.
Baruch was led by Valsenia Michie's 17 points. Melinda Spahiu added 7 points and a team best 10 rebounds. Daniela Zirpolo chipped in 8 points in 20 minutes off the bench.
