Emmanuel's Cathryn Larivere capped off her outstanding season by
winning the 2008 conference championship held at Saint Joseph's
College of Maine. Running under chilly conditions, she outdistanced
a field of 127 competitors, one of the largest in meet history. Her
time of 19:46 was the only sub 20 minute in the meet, and was the
fourth best all time in conference history. For her efforts she was
named GNAC runner of the year.
Host Saint Joseph's won the team championship, placing four runners
in the top ten, led by senior Alysn Ludwig who was competing in
cross country for the first time. Johnson & Wales finished
second in the team standings, led by second place finisher Danielle
Sargent.
