GNAC Women's Soccer Report: Week 9

(FOR THE WEEK OF OCT. 22-28)

	PLAYER OF THE WEEK Olivia Cairrao, Johnson & Wales (RI) (So., M - Bristol, R.I.) Cairrao scored twice and added an assist in the Wildcats' quarterfinal victory over Colby-Sawyer ... She's scored two goals in back-to-back games and has five in her last three.
	GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK Lexi Gawron, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Jr., GK - South Hadley, Mass.)  Gawron posted another 2-0 week in net for the Saints, not allowing a goal over 135 minutes of action. The junior played the first half in a 2-1 victory over Lasell, making two saves against the Lasers to keep them off the board before shutting out Regis during the GNAC Quarterfinals with a six-save outing for her seventh shutout of the season.
	Emily Zeblisky, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Fr., F - East Northport, N.Y.) Zeblisky found the back of the net twice in the GNAC Tournament win over Colby-Sawyer for the third two-goal game of her rookie season.

WEEK 9 HONOR ROLL 

Bailey Maurer, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Fr., M/F - Florence, Mass.) Maurer netted the biggest goal of her young career, finding the back of the net in the Saints 1-0 GNAC Quarterfinal victory over Regis College on Friday evening. The rookie scored the game-winner in the 66th minute of action off of a corner kick to lift Emmanuel to a GNAC semifinals for the first time since 2015.

Colleen Lynch, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Jr., GK - New Milford, Conn.) Did not allow a goal in the GNAC quarterfinals against Colby-Sawyer. Ran her scoreless streak to 256 minutes with her third shutout in a row.

Oriana Attridge, Regis (Mass.) (Fr., GK - Westwood, Mass.) Attridge allowed just one goal in two matches for Regis. In the regular season finale against Framingham State, she made six saves, four of them in the second half while the match was still close, as the Pride defeated the Rams, 3-0. It was her second shutout in as many matches and it extended her streak of not allowing a goal to 194:36. Friday night, she kept Regis in its quarterfinal match at Emmanuel by making five saves, allowing just one goal for an .833 save percentage in the match. In over 1,031 minutes in net for the Pride this season, Attridge posted a 1.57 goals against average and an .818 save percentage with 81 saves. 

Haley DaGraca, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Sr., F - Saco, Maine) DaGraca scored the game-winning goal with 6.1 seconds remaining in a 2-1 quarterfinal victory over Simmons University on Sunday afternoon. The clincher was her sixth of the season and 19th of her NCAA career.
